Some of you may be aware that I'm building a rather large spud gun at the office. If not... Well, yeah, I'm building a monster (and getting paid for it). It's name is Vera.

So today I was getting ready to leave and I see one of my coworker's trucks following me. I suspected he was trying to catch up to me and I pulled over so he could talk to me.

Turns out he was giving a new hire a tour of our facility and as it was getting towards the end of the day he wanted to make sure I didn't lock him in the compound (he doesn't have keys to the gate; I do). I told him not to worry and asked where he was taking the newb.

Part of his answer indicated that he was going to [Location Vera is located]. At that mention I perked up and said in a leacherous voice, "I'm tellin' ya, she's absolutely beautiful."

It was only then that I bothered to look at the new hire.

Suffice to say the new hire was a decidedly attractive young woman.

D'oh!

I kind of had that deer in the headlights look as visions of sexual harassment lawsuits swum through my head.

Fortunately, my coworker got me back on track with, "You're talking about Vera, right?"

"Yeah. She's a beaut!"

OFF TOPIC: Any plans for that golf ball hybrid you mentioned a while back in that thread about SCH 10 pipe? Well I hope there is, after Vera of coarse.

Ummm... No. I don't use CO2 cartridges.

I do have a question about Vera.. In regards to fueling, I saw the drawing on the semi trailer. Since you are planning on fueling by pressure rise, how do you plan to mix the contents? The chamber size shape provides some challenges in that regards. Are you planning on a multi nozzle fuel distribution manifold or some other way to distribute the fuel?

My favorite oops was telling students how to remember the difference between female and male fittings. There was a gal in the shop class who turned red. Oops..

I doubt anyone in the class will ever having any trouble remembering which is which.

Fueling/mixing system....

Dual point fuel injection via two venturi pumps. The injected fuel will be mixed at a 20:1 ratio with ambient gas pulled from a different area of the chamber. Thus, not only is fuel forcably mixed with air, the act of doing so circulates gases in the chamber. Note that the 2 injection points are roughly at the 1/3 and 2/3 positions if one were to travel the length of the chamber.

Supplimental air will then be injected using the same venturi system with similar effects.

After that, two 18" diameter fans (driven by air motors) will stir the chamber much as it is done in advanced combustions.

...The new hire could have been called Vera.

It could have been worse. You could have said something about filling 'her' up with a big load (ammunition..).

When it's finished ask if she wants to come and see how big your bore is..

You meet someone escorting a beautiful woman about and you say a couple sentences about your gun before noticing the beautiful woman.

One time I was a cook in a restaurant and when the hottie waitresses came in (to kiss my @ss and run food),
I had an oister in a half shell and I would tell them "look' and lick it with my tongue...they were all laughing while blushing.
But one got mad and told my boss...
I had to apologize to her or get fired (she actually told a high up I said she was "beautiful")

so I told her ," I am very sorry,... I will NEVER, EVER tell you you are Beautiful again, DEFINATELY WON'T "...it was funny, but I felt creepy.

But I found out it's only "harassment" if you're their boss and technically I wasn't.

I know one jerky guy who got taken off a job because he grabbed this womans both breastesists same time, and told her he just couldn't resist any longer. 8)

Not true.

It's harassment if it's unwelcome behavior that you only exhibit towards one particular sex. Note that it's also harassment if your boss does nothing about it (ie, both of you hang. You for the shenanigans. Your boss for letting you get away with it.).

Yeah, luckily it was more the type thing where she wanted attention from the boss...
My other story about the guy was true but he probably should've got locked up. (bad stories reading over them)...

One time I was passing a gym for fat chicks, and this lady was carrying boxes in, so I asked if i could help and she said, "you're not allowed to."
So I said sure I am.
She told me no because no men are allowed on the sidewalk in front.
I said, "Oh,uh,,OK, I understand"...
So I introduced myself and asked if we could go out sometime (she was chubby but cute and I was desperate).
She said she was too old for me...nope I said.
"Well I'll just see you here if you pass by again", she said.
Another day I asked for her, the girl said she's not in today.
Next time I walked by (second time) (I lived across street) she came running out and told me I couldn't come by looking for her.
(WTF?), "OK fine I won't come by anymore" I said.
Wierd lady asked me to "shake on it"..."I'm not going to shake on it, that's a little weird" I said.
So when I got a block away some cops came out of a McDonald's and gave me a paper, then they asked how much i drank that night..."four beers"...(got locked up for the night and didn't even have a buzz)...

One time I was on public transportation and a chubby girl was asking me how I was...I told her what I felt like at the time...she told the police, but it was out of state so they got the FBI!!! who contacted a local detective...who harrassed me over one year about something she said I said...geez I had a funny feeling NOT to give her my phone # when she asked me for it so she could "call me"...(thing is to this day when I get stopped some heresay comes up on computer..."Freedom of speech", "Innocent until..."??? (never went to court or anything so it's very strange).
Last time I was in court this fat lady was snitching on her own husband who had hidden a bunch of illegal guns she had found!!!

But I did stay persistent (although wanting to give up) and eventually met my one and only on...Public transportation...wOOHoO!!!..with her ever since...Dang it s*cked being single!!!

BTW, I'd post a pic so the story is more understandable (I'm a decent looking dude) But IDK, I heard in some states you can't smile on ID or liscense due to new facial recognition programs...It'll be interesting to see if they get used to identify agents (rookie yearbooks, shift-changes, courts) on the flip-side of things.
