My slingshot

Since slingshot's getting pretty popular on the forum I decided to make one. It's a chinese type of attachment for the bands, and at the pouch I used kind n´ tie. The frame is made of 8mm steel bar. I also wanted to try the Fimo grip method.
Tell me what you think!
The bent loops may look a bit rough but they are smooth.

Looks great! i like the snazzy handle but why not add a wrist brace.
Also what type of bands are you using?

Thanks!

I wanted it to be as compact as possible, therefore no wristbrace. The bands are red Thera-band, and with this setup I can comfortably draw to my chin without stressing my wrist to much.

Congrats, looks great!
I think you could make the fork a little shorter, the strain on the wrist would be much lower. But maybe that is just a personal preference of mine.

Maybe just a wrist brace if there are no legal issues.
Damage pics?

Thanks

And thank you Joerg for a great slingshot channel!
Regarding the fork height, at first I considered making it a thumb and forefinger supported slingshot, to really make it sit low in the hand. But as I started bending the metal I understood that it wasn't as easy as I thought getting the right ergonomics. Then I decided to go for pistol grip with low forks, but they turned out a bit higher then expected. Guess I overestimated the grip size.
Regarding the wrist brace, I think the compactness of non-braced is quite appealing, although I admit thinking about it a lot.
Damage pics will come but since I only got marbles at the moment I doubt they will be very impressing.

I like it, a wrist brace does make it a lot more bulky. In an ideal world you would have a removable wrist brace but I haven't found a good solid mechanism for detatching and reattaching mine yet.
I just got a mould for casting 8 12gram lead balls at once

Haha Nice sling shot copperboy

!
I still need to make mine, but I need to find a source of rubber tubing

. + I'm getting sidetracked with finding a tight barrel for my BBMG.
and Thanks Joerg! I think that really simple idea of molding a grip from modelling clay revolutionised the ergonomics of a homemade slingshots
