QEV Issues...

Sigh, I just got back from Fastenal; My QEV was supposed to be in today.
I go to the counter, the clerk goes in back to get it, and she hands me a bag with an odd brass fitting in it.
"That's not right" I said.
"It's the part you ordered" she said.
"No way. First of all, it's not a valve, it's some sort of adapter to connect air tubing to threads. Secondly, it's brass, not aluminum, Last but not least, it's not even 1/2" threaded, it's more like a 1/4". This isn't the right part."
she double checks the catalog, I point to a QEV and say, "That's what it's supposed to look like."
"I'll have to reorder it, they must've packed the wrong part at distribution. It'll be in by Wednesday."
So, You guys will have to wait a little while to see my next launcher. LOL
Hopefully they get it right this time. I'm not paying for the other part, but I don't know what's dumber. The people in shipping, or the clerk who was thinking I would pay about $30 for an 1/8" brass fitting.
Moral to this story, when you order parts through a shop, be sure you know what parts you order. If someone orders from you, make sure you know your own merchandise!
Just thought I'd share my latest headache, always good for LULS!
