I mentioned making a thread like this a while back but never got around to it... So here it is!
This is just so anyone can post their new/cool/interesting/favorite tools.
Pictures are wanted but I don't think completely necessary. If you have them then please post.
BTW I did ask PCGUY if this would be okay (because it could become never ending if people keep posting new tools), and he approved...
To start off, my very favorite is probably my Dremel. Most recent cool thing I've gotten are "Robo Grips". I also recently got a drill press and craftsman twin cutter saw (like the Dual-Saw)...
Sorry, I dont have pictures but I'll get them this weekend.
Also, say anything that you think should be changed...
Now start posting!!!
Edit-- Questions about peoples tools should be fine...

Cool I like the idea, is posting questions about if people have had experience with specific tools allowed.
That is all.

Dremel, router, die grinder, cutoff tool, bench grinder/wire wheel, tap & die set, oscillating cutter, channel locks, drill, drill press, bench vise, tubing cutter, hacksaw, assortment of files, sandpaper, chop saw, tile saw (improvised table saw)... Those all I can think of right now.
And if these count as tools: JB Weld, epoxy, CA, threadlocker, hot glue gun, tape...

Yeah the perfect all around tool, the circle cutter would come in handy a bit for maybe making pistons from wood circles.

The "dremel trio" already sounds like a rather awful euphemism for a ménage à trois, you just had to throw your mom into itdeathbyDWV wrote:My mom was practically wanting to get one for me but hasn't yet...Gun Freak wrote:Anybody got the dremel trio yet?

Ah, but there is sophistication in simplicity
It's not just that, I also have a grinder, files, sandpaper... but not much else. The beauty of epoxy is that you can (occasionally ) cast it into the shape you require, instead of taking a solid material and using tools to get the desired form.

IMO....simplicity is the most difficult and illusive design form to achieve.
