How do stocks like these- http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg101-e.htm

stay locked in one position so they don't just collapse down? Wasn't able to deduce it from pictures.

If you were making one a spring loaded ball bearing would probably work ok.

maybe its like the handles on a scooter, spring pushes a pin thru a hole
