I don't think it'll work, mainly because nothing works first time unless you're not expecting it to, but also because getting the mix right is pretty hard already let alone when much of the gas is probably not methane.

This is fart powered. It might make a great combustion section for a cannon if you could prevent the barrel from melting!

Unless you ingest a lot of air when you eat, the bio process produces a high concentration of methane. Due to the relatively wide combustibility range of 5% to 15% getting ignition is possible even with a somewhat close mix. Mix for about 10% and it should work.
