Contract is expired, one of two chargers is kaput, phone is kinda beat up...time for a change.
Have the LG "Shine" 8700. Fairly happy with the phone and service to date.
Works good as a phone...which is 90% of what I do with it. Not into texting and web services.
What do you guys use? Must work good as a phone...only limitation. Would like some of those nifty apps to play with though....like chairgun.
Wife has iphone 3G...piece of crap...lousy as a phone in "low reception areas"...which is where we live.
Anyone have an Android? 4G? Blackberry? Others???
How's the battery life...wife charges daily or more...I'm every 4-5 days.
Thanks

I now have a Sony Ericsson w810i, it's surviving for four years now.
It has some light scratching one the screen, from falling off my bicycle at 30 mph
I can recommend sonims, I once used one as a underwater microphone
...it survived it, btw.

Slighty off topic. a dead cell phone, an air cannon, and an old laundry appliance.. I may have damage pics by tomorrow.
I have a android phone, and if you are not computer inclined it will cause you frustration, I love my android, but I am studying software development so I understand the android OS. I have probably already helped 5-6 people who don't understand how to use a android phone properly, so my advice is if you are not up to something that should be considered a small computer rater than a phone, then stay away. Best would be to ask someone who owns a android phone if you can play around with it for a couple of minutes then you can decide if it is for you or not, I of coarse like it because I am learning to code my own apps for it, but I doubt that is a selling point for you..
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
I have a droid 3 and it's pretty good. There's some bugs and missing features, but there are apps that add them very transparently.
Verizon had a ruggedized android phone, but the general consensus is that its not so great.

Depending on who your carrier is, its different for all. I would get a android phone, the android o s is great. I currently am using a motorola droid 2 global, and have had little or few problems. Whatever you do, stay away from the I phone. Its a wast of money and a shittty phone!!
Go Bruins!!!!

I´m using a LG GT505, got it cheap, but good. I´m a student and this phone is enough, has a 5M camera, wi-fi(I have wi-fi at school os it´s very useful, right now half or more of my posts are made there). The camera is useful, good quality compare to a decent camera. It has video call too, some times pretty handy when I need to discus plans with my friends. Iphnoe is good use it correctly you will feel satisfied, but expensive compare to the LG and samsung, witch is just as good.
Remember if you buy a android, you can use this

This isn't a phone suggestion but I use this site to compare specs of phones with one another so it might be useful:

Right now I have a tracfone. It's just a phone, but it serves the purpose well. I've probably used the calc and unit converter more than anything else. I really don't have a use for fancy stuff on daily runs here and there. If I need something mobile I always have a laptop available. It's not like they're bulky these days.

I personally use Android, for ease of use and reliability I'd recommend Samsung, I've had a good experience with them.
I'm not an Apple fan at all, but I won't get into that.
As an aside, has anyone got a Samsung Galaxy S, there's a decent plan going at the moment.
