wondering how legal a train horn is on a road vehicle where you live ...? (I know it is illegal on my side of the pond)
the problem I am seeing is other road users who might not expect such a loud noise from behind and you might give them a nasty fright and besides that when you scare people they react in unexpected ways that could lead to dangerous situations...
it is my opinion is that it is a bad idea in so many ways, and from a quick google search it seems it is illegal in lots of places in the US as well..
simply put, it may be a better idea not to fit that to your truck...
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!

i talked to my neighbor( local cop) and said you can have them, as long as you have a working horn on your vehicle, and you are good to go

but i still do need a good working compressor for the truck

Just hook it up to your shop compressor and turn up the regulator until it sounds good. Buy a small pancake compressor that can fit in you toolbox and power it with an inverter.

Set the regulator to about what your shop compressor was putting out, and do not complain when the guy in front brake-checks you or drives like grandma for the next 20 miles.

I know a loud horn seems cool, but WHY??? At least tune it down to the sound level of a semi truck horn. That's within reason at least.

First the exhaust and now a train horn.

And you want us to actually believe that you aren't a douche?

Without knowing the pressure and volume it requires I have no idea. I suggested a small shop compressor because it would probably have sufficient amounts of both.

LOL... Whether you paid for it or not is totally beside the point. You're trying to build the loudest attention whoring vehicle you can. 'Nuff said.
