okay i had this idea (well it came from a game i played, Splinter Cell) a Long Range Minute Vibration Detector (LRMVD for short, i just made that up so i dont have to type it out) heres the idea... glass vibrates when sound is introduced so i was thinking if you could dectect those vibrations you translate them back into sound. so if i were to point a laser at glass some of it would bounce back, if i could detect the reflection (with a phototransistor) i could translate it back into sound, right? or is this just a tremendous waste of time and it will never work? hter is no real reason for this project im just kinda bord...

Do you mean like an echo?Like if you hook up a sound thing to some glass and someone/something makes a noise you can hear it through earphones attached to the glass.
Not sure why you want to do this but spose its your life :D
