I was looking at a Ammo post that got locked recently, and wondered why it got locked, so i went over the rules to find out why, i figured out why for myself, yaaaaaaaa!
My question is after i read this, "Scripts are not permitted. PCGuy has vowed to eat the firstborn of anyone who posts scripts."
What are scripts?
No i don't plan on doing it, just wanna know.

Scripts are various pieces of code that are typically used in web and or program development to do various things (everything on a computer is run by some sort of a script somewhere).
Since I allow very limited HTML script here for the SpudTech users that are used to using it, it became possible for people to attempt to post script in posts that is meant to do evil (steal passwords, etc.)
I have hardened the forum against posting any sort of these scripts, so rest assured the rule doesn't mean much. It just means that if I catch you trying to come up with a script to hurt the forum, you won't be around anymore.

There is no need for anyone to post any sort of good script on here either.
Users posting scripts on web forums can only mean trouble.

I can see the sense in that. But how could anyone hate this forum? And what happend to the hacker that crashed this site before?Revenge?

The hacker from before wasn't after SpudFiles in particular, he just wanted a server to use to send out fake EBay emails that try to steal passwords. That way he wouldn't get in trouble for sending fake emails since the server isn't his.
Most attacks aren't target specifically to a website because someone has something against them, it's either for fun or to gain some sort of benefit.

Whenever I feel that SpudFiles is in need of another mod, then I look around at my current members and decide who would be good at it and ask them.

I remember when Zarno posted an auto refresh script on spudtech.. Didn't you ban him for a while?

Yes, and it was shown to me how someone could steal passwords through Java in a post. I then removed script privileges from SpudTech.
