blue/green sparks?

is there compound that burns like a sparkler but instead of the yellow color sparks, it has a blue or green colored sparks?

There are different collored sparklers you know. The all yellow ones are just cheap ones.

yea but i want to know the specific compound that burns with blue/green sparks. what good does different colored sparklers do me? come on somebodys got to know how many hits does this site get a day, some one must have picked up such a compound in the endless hour they have used the internet, anybody?

Powdered magnesium mixed with one of that lot and moulded with some kind of binding agent should make an interesting sparkler.

okay new question is there any ghetto source of Barium Nitrate or Copper Nitrate, or do i have no choice but to buy it online? can i just grind a copper pipe into a fine powder, i realize its not copper nitrate bup will it work?

Umm do some research but If you mix nitric acid and another substance it "nitrates" the substance and there is a special way to do it. Becareful with nitric acid It will eat thorough just about anything if given some time except temper glass made to hold it with a glass plugg.

if i make copper nitrate then its an oxidizer, if i leave it was just copper can i use it as the fuel?

Well if you throw copper powder in a fire it will make green sparks.
