I know that this is the second dirtbike thread I have posted in the last two days, but I see nothing against this one, so here it goes:

this is where I ride my dirtbike, and play paintball. This is only a tiny section of them. this is a minute ride from my house.


this is a hill, 150-200 feet tall, although it does not appear that way in the pic. this thing is STEEP, and hard to climb.

I rode my sled down this part once. It hurt.
it is 9-10 feet deep in this crevice.

I can stand in here, and it it is twice as tall as me. all worn out by rain. I am 5' 10", so it is at least 10' deep.

this is in good ol' Michigan. there are much more extreme and difficult parts of the trails, but a big storm was coming, so I chose not to go way way way back there and take pics. I will sometime, maby tomorrow.

Michigan has hills?

It looks a little like the area of the state Leota is in. I've ridden the loop there, along with Big and Little "O", Silver Lake, Starvation lake and Kalkaska area, and some other areas around Cadillac and Grayling. I've also got a weekend in the UP around McMillan.

All this in three trips from Maine, just to ride the R! Yeah, I got a riding sickness!

yes, there are some bigger than this. this is in white lake , in the southeast corner of the lower peninsula. kalkaska is cool.

I am going to take it up to walhalla (sp?)( up inland by luddington(sp?)) in the summer. fun fun fun

I stay up 15 miles from silver lake in july for a couple weeks every summer, in a place called pentwater. on the 4th of july, there is a solid trail of 4x4's and dirtbikes and quads draining off the dunes for two freaking hours after the fireworks.

Yes, don't ever take what the CCC has done for you guys for granted. We've nothing that compares, and lose ground yearly. I've always gone out to ride with a group of meatheads I befriended on my Yahoo forum. They and the trails make the 21 hour drive worth it.

Isn't Wallahalla where the Rights of Spring used to be? Been there, done that. Sure was fun beating all those whimpy ringdings into the ground with a herd (6!) of Xr650Rs!

We spent just a few hours in SL after RoS. We've nothing like that here. I still have the paddle and flags hanging downstairs in the shop. I wish the desktop was up and running, I'd link you up to "Fatback Throttlejockey". a helmet cam vid that was made from our RoS weekend.

yeah, silver lake is cool. I'm not sure about the wallahalla part, but I know it is by the big south branch of the pere marquette river.

where do you get parts for an xr6500! the biggest most dirtbike shops sell is 450 cc bikes.

Any Honda dealer can get parts. The western shops actually carry them, as that's where the bike is at home. ServiceHonda.com is also very good to deal with.

BUT, it's a Honda, it never needs parts!

ha! Honda bikes are nice, and quads, generators, etc. but, I cant stand there cars. I am a ford person.
