P.S. bet you can't tell which one is me.

Well I play a few sports, swimming (I don't really like it any more, been swimming for ages and doing laps gets old fast), soccer, squash (only started recently, real good sport) and I used to do a little bit of athletics (I am a terrible runner though, and got bored with athletics so I quit)

Ok people Amercan Football started as a rough form of soccer then some how it turned to handball then the goals to a Y and so on. Football is and always will be a form of soccer. Why have the name Soccer and Football I shall tell you. Soccer is Could be compared to what hand touch Amercan football a sport where you just play and cant throw elbows or other things.
Now Football you can throw elbows, knees and all manner of thing with breaking a rule.

If you still do not agree go to live in Europe for a few years. When a game starts at the public feild ask what they are playing Football or soccer. Watch or play some (if you want) them come back next game until you have watched and played both soccer and Football then you can come back and agree.

Are you kidding me?! Rugby on the pro level is just a bunch of drunk fools running into each other. They wear pads so there not Mike Tyson vegetables when there done with there career. Also they can play 15 odd years. Anyone knows that the guys in the NFL could whoop any rugby guys, sorry to say it, ass! Look at Joey Porter.

NFL players are stronger, faster, and quicker then anyone in the rugby leagues.

^See this guy? His bench is 700lbs! Thats ~320KG.

well, i'm in cross-country, and it is by far my favorite sport. no-one in football(american football) agrees with me, but it is probably one of the most dificult sports. you try running five miles every day. most high-school football and soccer players can't. cross-country takes alot of endurance, determination, and discipline. but thats just my opinion, although i do value my opinion more than anyone else's(but i am not concieted)

another one of my sports is Speed Stacking. most people dont think it should be a sport though. its where you have a bunch of cups, and you have to stack, and unstack them in certain patterns, as fast as you can. it is really fun. google search speed stacks, and look in the videos.

Speed stacking is definitely not a sport  ! I myself swim, spudgun (how could you forget that?), paintball, airsoft and I guess thats all.

way to go medievalman! Cross country is the hardest sport for one reason and one reason only. We do for fun what all the other sports do for punishment: run. Cross country also has one up on track too. In track you run around in a circle to get back where you started: pointless. In cross country you weave around stuff for 5k and end up fifty feet from where you started. Now that is what I call entertaining.

Where do you live medievalman and what are some of your times on a 5k? I live in Utah and placed fifth at state. I ran on a shorter course one time and got a 14:46, but on our state course(a hard one) I got 16:43.

I had a huge list of ideas but it would only let me put five up for the poll. Sorry if I missed most sports.

I've yet to see a cross country runner that is physically fit. There always some twig, anorexic, skinny dude with no muscle. Sure, running long distances is hard, farest I've ran is 6 miles, and I almost coughed out a lung. For two years after football practice we had to run a mile [Thats 5 times a week], then for PE we had to run it 2-3 times a week. After two years of doing that, guess how much my mile time improved? 0 seconds. Jogging it hasn't made it any easier.

I think any cross country runner that got ear holed would crumble up, and blow away. I don't blame you though, your HS sucks at football [Yeah I know where he goes to school hes in my region]

Have you watched the All Blacks vs Aussie in rugby? They are not drunk what are you talking about! They are way fitter then NFL guys I watch monday night football on sky(like cable) and all the guys are black over-weight american dudes apart from the QB,all the guys are way to slow apart from the dude the runs down the side and catches the ball, But Joe Rockcocko will wallop you guys, hes bloody fast and has the meanest side-steps.

And they don't where pads, apart from soft headguards that stop colly-flowering in the ears but the majority of the players dont where the headgear and after a few years they have smashed up ears.

You can't say one is better then the other theyre both different sports,if NFL guys vs the All Blacks(New Zealands rugby team #1 in the world)in rugby the All Blacks would win but if it was the other way around we would loose playing NFL.

Oh and I agree with you on the atheletic image of lanky dudes running.

I play American soccer (I'm one of those "Fairy Foot" people), I do some track, and I may do football in my freshman year, because my soccer coach said I would make a pretty good running back.

Anyone know what a good time for a two mile cross-country run is? My freind is 13 and he got 11 1/2 min on one.
