Pictures too Big

I dont know if anyone could tell me how to downsize my picture so that they fit the regulations, my camera is like 7.1 megapixels so its way too big of a file.

Open them with ms paint program and use the strech and scew.

use http://www.photobucket.com. it atomatically resizes the pics for you.

Medievalman, you meant www.photobucket.com (you missed the K in bucket).

Google produces a free program called Picasa2 for organizing, editing, and sharing photos. It has a great resize tool, along with redeye removal, crop, color balance, brightness/contrast, etc... Much more user friendly than Paint. http://picasa.google.com/

If you have $20 to spend, go on eBay and get a copy of Photoshop Elements. Long link to ebay item

800x600 (pixels) or smaller is a good size for posting images to forums. I always use .jpeg unless I need a transparent background, in which case I use .png. The objective is to keep file size small. Another good site to host images is http://imageshack.us/ .
