ok well i was bored and decided to make a gunpowder cannon..and since im not discussing solid propellents in a potato gun this is not illegal on this site...so anyway this is basicall an awesome gun...and ill tell u right now with a teaspoon of gun powder this thing shoots a 3/4 ball bearing harder than my first inline did at 125 psi...now i fired this thing twice and it was like 9:30 when i did so i cant take a video or damage picks till mornign but i had cheap deoderent i was trying for my combustion and it didnt work so i shot at it...it blew the top completely off and i couldnt find it..i went out with a flashlite and found the bottom of the bottle 30 yards away..the boom this thing makes is unbeleieveable (sp?) i will have freeze frames and damage pcisk tomorrow...i cant upload vis to my comp for some reason...


btw does anyone know or know how to find out other than chrony or something how much psi black powder generates?? i believe on mythbusters they said that blackpowder normally generates 1000 psi in guns?? i may be wrong but i tihnk thats what i heard...but anyway tell me if u know...

Also you just need a little handle on the wood now, then the ignitor.

That would be like a uber mini.

1. this has so much of a kick..it kicks like 10 feet back wehn i fire it...i am working on something stationary i can put it on

2. althoguh i highly dought that this sch80 iron would blow up it would be extremely stupid to hold it in your hand and u cant ignite it with an ignitor because gunpowder usually doesnt ignite with a spark only flint and such...

but yeah it would make a kick A$$ mini...

you cold use less black pwder and that would work.

i could use sell black powder??? whats that...ill look at ur replies in the morning i am going to bed....btw if ur parents let u use gun powder (if ur under 18 and live with your parents) i would suggest building one but make sure to take all safety precautions....tell me how it works out..

thats less backwards. i dont think they would let me play with gun power.

i like it alot. one of my friends is probly going to build a mini cannon for a civil war preoject. i intend on helping.

I think you should hook it up to some wagon wheels like the old artillery cannons. Then put on some pirate clothes and have a good ole time!
