One of my friends wants to get into airsoft and i have played before and really enjoyed it so I was thinking that I would buy a gas blow back pistol of some sort. I have a budget of about $120 USD. does anybody here know of a really good airsoft pistol in this price range? I want it to shoot at 300-350 fps.
I would also like to know if if the following airsoft manufactures are any good.
-HFC
-WE
-UTG
I know that mauri is good, but i cant really afford it, so please recommend a gun if you have accually shot it and have experiance with air soft, thanks.

Go with Wei-Tech (WE), I have been around airsoft a longtime, and WE is an awesome Gas pistol brand. There best model is the M1911, with is $105, and comes with 2 magazines off of airsoftgi.com

get a KWA or KSC (same brand but one of them has trademarks) G17 or 18c. The 18c is capable of fully automatic fire while the G17 is only has semi-auto. The good thing is that they are both pistols. Heres a link:

if you have a $120 price range i definetly would not reccomend a GBB. Most GBBs are massive gas hogs and are not very accurate, which will make you waste tons of money on gas. i actually just bought a Jing Gong M16A4, full auto, 370 fps absoloutley rapes soda cans, cost me $118, full package, Mag and Bat+charger. i would definetly reccomend a JG Mid lvl AEG over a Gas gun.
HFC-good GBB manufaturer, would reccomend, make sure to buy off of a reputable website, and always buy full metal, some of their guns are easily breakable
WE- probably the best GBB manufaturer, i like the 4.8 HI-Cappa, the dragons look cool, but are inaccurate and are massive gas hogs, and my M1911 has rapid-fire issues, which is why it came with 2 mags. the 1911 is very fun to shoot and is the best deal for a premium full metel GBB.
UTG-i have heard that the newer UTG navy seals are of higher quality, but when i bought my Warhawk AEG(AK-47) it only lasted about 3 months before it suffered a major gearbox failure that was not repairable. a friend of mine bought the older spring sniper about 5 months ago, the mainspring is worn out, it shoots about 200 fps.
Overall_____________________________________________________
Id go with a mid lvl AEG From Jing Gong or a similar manufatuacter, and stay away from a GBB. If you really must go for that Gas pistol, WE is the way to go!

Ya, my GBB isn't that accurate, but it packs a punch.

I just want to be able to hit my friends at 50 feet or so. i really like the WE 1911. is it really worth buying, or will it break right out of the box? i dont intend on throwing it around and i will take good care of it, so about how long will it last without breaking under the best care?
beebs- could yo give me a web site to your m16a4? is that a good gun or does it break easily?
i want a really good gun for around $120, as long as i can hit someone at 50-75 feet im happy.

Just get a reliable spring gun that is not from walmart. Get one from Airsoft Atlanta, they got some nice spring rifles some of which are full metal and most are under $80.

i say you build a vortex gun and get a regulated co2 setup, i play with one, and its honestly the best gun ever. you would have to pay around $500 for a real gun to get something that would even get close to a vortex gun's preformence.
but if you really want to buy a gun go with a aeg, gas gets expensive, fast. gbb pistols eat up a ton of gas, if our going to get a gas pistol get a non blow back model.
one other thing if the gun says only use .2g and .25g under no circumstances use .12g. it will wear out the piston and most likely cause it to shatter. make sure the bbs dont have any dirt on them or they could jam up the gun.

Why a non-blowback?

If they are $20 they are probably going to break. its ok, i already got the WE 1911 and I have put over 1000 rounds through it and it hasnt had a single problem. It got here in two days though airsplat. mac/pistol man was right about the WE 1911, but thanks for the offer.
anybody who wants a good gas blow back, get a WE.
