Does anyone on this forum snow ski? I have been snow skiing out west for the past 7 years of my life and I go once a year. I am an Intermediate-Advanced skier thats skiis mainly blues and blacks. I live so dang far away from the slopes that it's not even funny. I ski usually at Taos, NM but recently we have been going to wolf creek in Colorado. I once crashed in deep powder going down a black bowl. One of my skiis failed to pop off my boot and it came up and hit me in the back of the head. It gave me a headache the rest of that day along with a small wound.

Yes I have!!! I have skied 3 times and have had great time. I have skied at the Arizona Snowbowl in flagstaff and at Sunrise ski resort in greer, arizona..

ive been skiing since i was in preschool. i dont go that often anymore, casue i live in cali, but i was born in aspen colorado and lived there for 7 years.

Do you mean downhill skiing or cross country skiing?

I do downhill. I was an instructor at a local hill for 2 years, and I've been down every double or triple black on breckenridge and vail. I haven't found a run that's scared me yet.

HEre's my story: One time I built a jump from one run, to jump onto another run. You'd hit it at high speeds, and fly through a section of woods, and land on the other run. I hit it at 40mph plus, and when I landed my front binding broke, and I crashed hard. It was such HUGE air though. So I gave my friend my camera, and I hit it EVEN FASTER this time, and he got a picture of me about 15-20 ft in the air, in the middle of the woods, doing a daffy. When I landed, my front binding that was already broken literally exploded, and I rolled onto my shoulder breaking my collarbone in two places, and fracturing my shoulderblade. Good times.

Try Alta or Taos. most Blacks and Double Blacks there are some of the hardest in the world.

I heard Blackcomb is pretty hair, especially the chutes.

I've done a bit of downhill skiing as well as cross-country skiing. Haven't done much in the last few years so it might take a few days of skiing to get back into it.

I've been skiing since I was three. We live 25 minutes away from Mt. Bachelor. I xc ski train/race all winter and downhill whenever I'm not xc skiing. One of the ski patrollers I know is going to let me unicycle down in the snow next year. It's going to be sweet.

We have the "cone". It's about a 5-10 minute hike up to the hill and then some awesome powder. Since most people are lazy butts who think walking from the car to the chair is an issue, not many people ruin it before you get there.
