Im not quite sure if it was appreopriate to post my real paintball gun in this thread, but anywho..

I got into paintballing a couple of years ago and baught this cheap ($60 at sportchalet http://www.sportchalet.com/product/inde ... age=family ) gun. It works great, has a good rate of fire. But being a tinker after my first game I took it home and tore into it.
I polished the metal internals
I painted it (obvously)
I installed a bolt to tention the trigger so it barely had to move
I installed a switch that, when fliped, will make the gun have rebound
I put in lighter springs from mechanical pincels
I even took apart the tiny switch and shotened the distance that the little arm inside of it had to travel.

The reasoning for my post is to ask for any futher ideas that will not cost very much and enhance any aspect of the gun. I would really like to improve accuracy next. rof is at about 15bps

Any ideas??

Well  You can do a lot of things to it. You can get an electronic trigger to speed up your ROF, you can get a bolt that isn't as hard on the paint and chops less rounds while allowing you to fire faster, you can get rifled barrels, motorized hoppers, low-pressure setups, you can switch from CO2 to HPA...

What do you want the gun to do, and we can tell you what you should do to it.

EDIT: Ah, just saw y0our thing about the accuracy, well you can get a rifled barrel for that. Some people say they don't do much, but I just tested my standard 16" and a 14" rifled today and it did make a considerable difference for me. The biggest part of getting a rifled barrel is finding what kind of paintball works best with it. Just buy 100 or so of a few different kinds and see what works best.

Well, I already have and electronic trigger, and an anti chop bolt (came with it stock)
My goal is to spend hardly any money(basicloy no real paintball parts  )

I would like to improve accuracy and ROF the most (although electronic hoppetr must be next- $$ouch$$)

How hard would it be to put this reg on it (i have a few of them)

I do not believe that is the type of regulator you should put on your gun. I don't think they will handle the high flow too well either.

Well for little to no cost I can't think of anything other than trying different paint to see what works best. As for everything else, just keept it well maintained, I think you've done all the diy mods I can think of.

EDIT: As for the reculator, I don't think you should put that on. Your gun has it's own regulator. Putting anything else on might just mess it up.

Incorrect^^
the gun does not have a reg, it runs on pure unregulated CO2, hence the single hose going from the tank to the sear chainber.

Well, I concede that point. But that looks very cumbersome to put on. I have a feeling that would be a royal pain in the butt to use.

I agree, just an idea..

OK I know what I was thinking, my gun came with an LP setup already installed. Most don't.

You could make an expansion chamber out of galvanized pipe, paintball guns use 1/8" fittings, go from 1/8" to 1/2" and back, you could have a front grip that doubles as an expansion chamber.

Just a thought.

You better make sure that the pipe and fittings can hold the pressures.

if u want accuracy, get a new barrel. maybe a j&j 16" or 14". If you want it to shoot faster, you should get a new board for your electronic trigger frame.

Well the thing is he said his goal is to spend very little to no money. So an electronic board is out, and barrels are iffy.

I use them all the time with my gun modifications and my cannons the operate on unregulated Co2.
