Hand-held,
battery powered tesla gun.
I want to build one of these, it looks pretty nifty.

id start with a small tesla coil like me (7 inches tall) besides this is probaly solid state as most small teslas are but yeah it would be nifty.

What would you use it for, I'm not quite sure of the purpose?

well that could put streamers of at least 2 inches so ignition, scaring people, mounting it on youre car, and a cool cattle prod would all be "aceptable" uses

Looks pretty awesome. Is it worth sacrificing a drill for it though?

I heard large scale telsa coils can be used to create artificial lightning. I wonder if it would work in spudguns?

Ah yes, the old "why use a piezo ignitor when I can use a tesla coil to fire my cannon instead!" idea
I'd shoot myself in the foot before doing something so incredibly inefficient
The counter argument pushed out is that it would look cool or something.

Would be cool to combine that, and the whole plasma creation
