It improves performance, eliminates the need for batteries, and gives a trigger handle combination.

When you mod it, you do by hand (by pressing the blowgun) what the solenoid normally does electrically, which gives a much better pilot flow and opens the valve faster, meaning you get better performance.

Normally the solenoid acts as a pilot valve, when powering the solenoid, it wil open a small valve piloting the sprinkler.
The bigger the pilot valve, the faster the sprinkler opens, and since the solenoid is a very very small valve, the sprinkler opens SLOW.

Modding it with a blowgun gives you a non-electric trigger and a way better pilot valve increasing the speed of opening of your sprinkler.

The solenoid is the black part that has two wires coming off it. When current is applied, a metal rod retracts, and the valve opens.
"Modding" it, (Or rather modifying it for pneumatic actuation) gives you a larger pilot hole, and thus the valve is allowed to open faster.

Bottom line, it's faster, and doesn't require batteries.

no way, but you can get all the parts you need at lowes. Its very easy to mod, all you need to get is a blow gun valve and a 1/4" brass nipple, and just drill a hole in the top of the valve and screw in the blow gun. Its really easy and next time search because there are A LOT of posts about this, there are even tutorials on it.

Pre modded you ask? To find that, you would need a store made just for spudders...

Anyway, I advise that modding it yourself is much better. It's so much more rewarding when you're finished.

OMG dont do that!
I have a plan!
If we all wont use smilies anymore and remove the functonality of pictures, avatars and other good-looking stuff, we might drop the prices of BCarms!
Cheap cannons!

Code: Select all
