I wanted to make my own sniper rifle so I did. Its my first time using a sprinkler valve. I had to jump through hoops to get this thing cause NO ONE around here carries them. lol. but its just your basic sprinkler valve fired pneumatic. I want to put a scope on it eventually but not right now.

Edit: Fine... I didn't think it would start flamewars anyway since this is a composed community.

Yet another beautiful gun by boom-o-matic 2.0. Your blowgun looks super ergo, must be really comfortable to fire it since it looks like a real rifle shaped handle. Can't wait till you put a scope on it. 5 out of 5 XD.

It's Nerf or Nothing.

Don't start crying when I play this as my hobby, Paintball, Airsoft and Nerf are equally good hobbies, except you can play Nerf in public. Good day! Hmph!

That looks like a well-constructed cannon to me!
If you are planning to build another cannon, I recommend a piston valve for even more power and especially because you had a hard time finding a sprinkler.
First Post!
Don't do that please.
You will only start flamewars doing that. Really, just don't.
This community knows better then that, so don't screw it up, converting it into a typical pointless internet messaging system with people flaming eachother.
Spudfiles is a peaceful and informative community, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Not a bad project Boom. A couple of things....next time, load the ammo BEFORE airing up your tank....otherwise is a good way to get the end of a finger taken off if it mistakenly fires at the wrong time.

The other thing is, I like your stock design, I would just find a way to mount the schrader where you didn't have to take the stock off everytime.

Otherwise, a nifty cannon!

Most people seal up leaks with epoxy.
Do you know where the leak is? You can find it by holding the cannon underwater and looking for bubbles.

Did you use proper primer + cement to glue it? And did you turn the fittings 90* right after inserting the fittings together?

I know pretty much where it is. I just gotta find the exact location. and I thought I glued it good but aparently I didnt. I was in kind of a hurry cause I was avoiding a bee while I was working. (huge bee phobia)

Don't bother with completely immersing it unless you have an already full pool or bath. Just spray a colored soap on there.

A good, well constructed but slightly simple gun. Looks clean and fairly ergonomic as well.

For a quick and easy scope you can modify a pair of kiddie binoculars, but a laser sight is probably more accurate as it is.

I found the leak and epoxied the hell out of it. it has this gray glump all over it but it dont leak any more. lol. I"m gonna repaint it soon. the next rifle I make will be of similar design but its gonna be piston valve and alot easier to fill it up. other than that it will be pretty much the same. I may alter the stock/hand-grip design some though...

Cool gun, my only suggestion is since you already hid the schrader valve in the stock, you should have found a small enough diameter pressure gauge to hide it in the stock also. Maybe even try to hide your pilot hose. Then you'd have a REALLY slick looking gun 8) oh yeah.
