hi guys,
its my first time making a post on this forum.
ive searched he internet to find information and this was the only place with good infos.
ive already made an air gun (prototype) but its no good. i want to improve on my next gun.
so ive come to the conclusion that i need a better airtank (currently fire extinguisher)
which is dangerously connected with glue.
i wanted to use a tank from a soda stream machine, but it dindt connect to anything i had.
its different thread. so i wanted to buy an paintball airtank, but my question is will it connect? is the thread good?
i also want to buy a QEV, ive checked out MCmasters but i cant seem to find the QEV's people on youtube and here are using.
you know the these black block looking things. sooo do you guys know where i can get one of these?
sorry for the noob questions.
so then the only thing left to do is to pilot the QEV which i will be doing with a hammer valve, although i have no idea how to make that. but ill figure it out. i also need to figure out a loading slot, but thats gonna be ok.
i dont know if i should post pics of my prototype, its kind of bad.
introduction and need some advice.
Welcome to the forums!
The standard pipe threading in the US is NPT, the rest of the world uses BSP or BSPP.
You probably have parts that have the BSPP thread on it, so when you buy your paintball tank,
be sure that it also has BSPP. For the QEV, just search for 'quick exhaust valve' on ebay, and sort on lowest price first. You'll find all the black boxes!
For piloting the qev with a hammer valve, just look around the forum. There are plenty of tutorials for it.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them!
Good luck building!
PS always include pictures of what you are talking about, it makes it easier for us to help you.
