Hello everyone I'm new here but I'm not new to spudguns just air cannons

I need some advice on these valves that I just picked up, they are Asco 8210G22 1 1/2". What I need to know is will these work well and can they be blowgun moded

Yes, I believe you have yourself an Asco Redhat there. It can be modified for push button operation. We have one in the shop that a buddy of mine used. Let me check with him.

A picture says volumes. You NEED to tap into the brass.
Make sure to disassemble the valve first before drilling and tapping.

What about using that thing sticking out just off centre I assume it's the channel for the bleeder for the solenoid it's a 1/2" so it would take a 1/4" "hole. I just don't know about drilling a hole right over the place that the spring is located.

What is the diameter of the spring? You shouldn't worry about that too much. Same thing is done with all sprinkler valves.

I just opened one up and that is the bleeder channel it's a 1/4" hole with what looks like a 1/8" angled hole leading to the solenoid. So it looks like all I have to do is continue the hole to the outside and plug the small hole going to the solenoid.

Thanks for your help can you recommend a blowgun to use

Oh the spring is 1/2"
