I've finally made my piston valve and got it to work consistantly. On my first gun I made a chamber sealing one, but the face or the o-rings never seemed to work at the same time. Now, after trying about 10 kinds of rubber, 5 pistons, breaking 2 o-rings and ruining 4 others, and a lot of oh my gosh darn flippen hecks said I have made a barrel sealer that works. I ended up just using some old truck tire tubes for the face. I'll post the gun here in a few days, maybe even some damage pics, videos, etc.

It's a 2 inch porting barrel sealing piston housed in a 3 inch tee. It seals against a 2 inch coupler I cut in half and sanded the stop out of. That way I was going to have it nice and square no matter how straight I cut the end of the pipe I pushed through the bushing. As a bonus It also helps increase the pressure differential when the piston begins to move.
It's also piloted by a 1 inch ball valve so it actuates dang quick.

I used the schools lathe and made it out of wood. It has grooves for o-rings on it, but since I've broken/ruint so many my uncles store is out and I'm searching local car part stores.

Well, now that I've screwed up so many times I've found every way not to make a piston valve. I figure I could probably make one in a day or so now. It's been well worth my time.
I finally got the barrel and it's support on. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
