Over the weekend I built a Pneumatic Cannon with hopes of shooting it over 200 yards. My cannon has 2 3"x5' chambers connected via 2 90's and one tee through a 1" ball valve into a 2"x4' barrel. On the end caps of the chambers I have a Schrader valve. My max PSI is 110 due to an old compressor. I found that when I pump it all the way to 110psi I can get a Nerf dart to go 200+ yards. Sorry I don't have any pics will have some tomorrow. Any advice on going bigger? Hope to hit 400 yards btw.

-Thanks

To go further try upgrading the vavle to a modded sprinkler valve. (use the search button if you don't know what they are)

Oh and use better ammo than a nerf dart (potato slug, AA battery, ice)
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

a modded sprinkler would increase performance alot! and though it may seem like an overwhelming task(it did when i started) its not difficult at all once you learn what to do.

and please get some pics up of this cannon, i hear its a beast!

This is very similar to the ammo I use, with a little fin trimming I can get it to fit perfectly into a 2" barrelImage
