I concur. However fun it may be to create large fireballs, it's still pneumatic. I really like this gun since it is so unique, though I'm not sure why you need two valves for one tank (or maybe I'm looking at it wrong).

i love that it is freakin awsome looking!!
only it seems a waste..you get one shot then gota a-take it off tol refill chamber or b- have someone els fill it up for you.
looks great!, just not very prafctical.

people do it all the time with sprinkler valves, and pistons valves, two valves are better than onemega_swordman wrote:I concur. However fun it may be to create large fireballs, it's still pneumatic. You know, PCGUY did post this topic, so if you are talking to the maker of the cannon, I'm afraid to inform you that he won't replyjjjd wrote:Would it not make it more efficient to have the valve in the front? You should be loosing quite alot of pressure from the flow through the hoses. Just a thought.

That's an over generalisation.spudfarm wrote:you are right dead space = bad
Too much dead space is bad, however, in small amounts it can actually improve a launcher's efficiency and power, by providing a store of air that can provide higher flow than the main valve.
The optimum is quite dependent on the round, pressure and the dimensions of the cannon, but usually the results of optimising this are only a couple of percent added to the muzzle energy.
But a little is better than none, so people shouldn't fret over a cubic inch or two.
However, on this scale, it's going to do more harm than good.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Well GGDT says completely contrary to that.spudfarm wrote:you are right dead space = bad
i have supposedly increased the velocity of the PG by 75fps by adding 5ci of dead space.
It doesnt mean GGDT is right but I believe it.
And a useless tid bit of info(to most people)
Dead space is requred to reach the speed of sound using air. It allows the air to heat up(projectile has to be tight with low friction also
the heated air now has a much higher possibilty of reaching every spudders goal.
