Could someone give me the Specs on a 1/4 inch QEV? im attempting to make an HMG (heavy machine gun) replica for airsoft skirmishes. i am using the QEV + Saftey Pop valve for actuation. and anyone whose seen saftey pop valves go off, how far do they go back? Im thining of using that as a blowback mechanism to load the next BB.

Could be easier if you said which type you're on about (piccie!).

The type I'm using is said to be good to 300psi. Leave a couple of cm behind the relief valve for it to recoil into if you're planning on a compact design. They don't pop out more than that to open the exhaust holes.

If you have a look at these: http://www.airlines-pneumatics.co.uk/we ... ?SubCat=86 you can see the kind of distance the sprung sealing head has to go to open to the exhaust holes.

Thanks, that SHOULD be enough to move the breech closed so i dont have a strafer style firing...... and i said, its a 1/4 inch QEV, the one with the 1/8 NTP exhaust and everything else 1/4 inch. it has to be below 3.5 inches, im modeling this thing off the M2 .50 cal Browning anti-aircraft gun.
