Since it only took me about 20 minutes to put together my own high pressure pump that reaches 350 psi in a fraction of the time, I'll save my cojones for other athletic endeavors.

...like the World Nutcracking Championships eh? :D

To be honest I don't want to go too high with this, 300 is the limit I'm comfortable with and with the oversized chamber it's hugely inefficient to go to high pressure. For this size it's actual ideal pressure is more like 100psi.

I'll probably make a cannon specifically for high pressure - low volume chamber and all that or a special semi design to regulate out the volume but for now I'm happy with the 240psi I can get with my track pump.

Incidentally the tape did work - sortof - it still leaked but I managed to get it all the way to 240psi without too much extra effort and the cannons check valve means none of the chamber pressure gets wasted by the connection leak anyway.

Okay, 2mm biro dart Vs 4mm hardboard thing:

It punched a hole clean through from 20m and was stopped by the baked clay thats currently passing for the stuff under the grass, lost two of the four flared bits on the tail so I had to recut that with a penknife but otherwise unharmed ^_^

I then fired it at three hardboards but the resistance was too much and the plastic tube shattered into shards all along its length when the brass nib stuck fast in the second hardboard thing.

Its annoying that the pictures get resized to just less than I resized them to... :?
