Free floating barrels are hardly a concern when a vast proportion of spudders fire less than perfect ammo from smoothbore barrels
That's the thing really, without consistent ammunition and either drag stabilisation or rifling, all the other factors which are fine tuned to promote accuracy in firearms are minor issues with spudguns.
