On the last version of this gun we had two 2x4's mounted vertically directly behind the tee that the barrel mounts to. We tried to clean it up as much as possible on this one, and with the ratchet straps tightened fairly tight, it seems to transfer the energy to the frame fairly efficiently. It hasn't moved in the frame and since these water shots are probably the heaviest thing we'll shoot we figure that it what we have now works fairly well.
And yes this barrel is ridiculously short, and we can use barrels two or three times as long as even our longest barrel we don't have a way to transport them. Also, after seeing what this thing can do with even the shortest barrel im not sure making the barrels that much longer is really a good idea
Hopefully goin shooting tomorrow, we'll try to get some good vids as well as pics of the longer barrels.

Well we shot a nerf ball at my neighbor's house yesterday

Over it actually and holy sh*t did it go. But due to where we live that's about all we can do. Should be going shooting somewhere with a little more space tomorrrow, so we'll have some updates and new vids then.

Well unfortunately it looks like the weather is going to keep us from going shooting later today. Hopefully we'll be able to go sometime this weekend instead.

Very nice build!
Maybe you should call it "RAIN MAKER".

The cannon alone is impressive, but with the stand and recoil system, that's some damn good work - I'll be interested to see what it can do with a full length barrel and more pressure.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Amazing cannon there, I think this is one of the best cannons on the site if I say so myself. What pressure do you plan on taking this up too I really cant wait to see some damage shots. Hey you guys are in St.Louis I think I am coming there this summer to see my cousins.

Well we went shooting again this morning and this thing is pretty impressive. At 60 psi using only one side we shot a golfball well out of sight (that barrel is 10 ft long). Unfortunately we had a couple issues with some of the compression fittings at the back of the gun and weren't able to do any damage shots. We have video of some of the long distance shots but those aren't all that fun to watch. Should have the problem fixed in the next couple days but I'm not sure when we'll be able to go shooting again.
