Yeah I know...even if it costs $20-30 in france, it's worth it, especially on this nice gun. There's never a good excuse to build a coke bottle chamber.

SNIPPER

I think that steel (or malleable iron as you call it) is cheap in europe so i think he can uprgade it to all metal gun for less than 5$

edit
BTW nice job it looks great... it looks like all those 'modern' sniper rifles (well, you get the idea right ?)

Welcome to SpudFiles donsammy. I realize that you are new here and all but you should no that your most likely not going to get the plans. As you spend more time here you will come to know the rules and the "do's" and "dont's." I strongly recommend you spend a couple good weeks looking around SpudFiles before posting questions. Many of your questions may have already been answered all you have to do is just find them. Check out the Cannon showcases and all the many different kind of spud guns out there and all the stuff that goes along with that. I'll start you off with the Search tool to get you going.

Once again welcome, I hope you enjoy it here.

ON TOPIC: Sorry to drift away from your stellar masterpiece spike. I really love the clean gun look it just fills me with satisfaction. It's funny I have been planning on making molds very similar to yours that you used for your QEV rifle. Most likely thats aluminum you used right? Correct me if I'm wrong. Great gun man hope to see more from you.

Very nice piece, nice enough for some of us to venture into your "patator" forum without any French experience (me included). One thing I'm wondering about in the vid, at 1:25 something flies out of the breach. Is that just a miscut slug? Again, well done

I've put my spud gun project to the side for now, I was busy planing a camping trip, but i have gone and dug out the parts i saved, very inspirational spike kinda makes me want to rob a hardware store.

I watched your qev how to video about 5 times, just one thing escapes me you put a piece of tube into the T, it is what the piston seals against, is that piece of tube glued or epoxied on or is it free floating.I figured it out, very clever indeed

Oh and one last question how do you melt the lead for your rounds, Blowtorch, furnace, black-magic???... i had a similar mold, just made from aluminum bar
Hi Spike Can you please send me step by step instructions on your snipper gun. I really love this gun. thanks

MrCrowley wrote:I saw this on the French Spudgun website, I've always liked it. Very clean build and nice breech loading system, the only part I don't like is the soda bottle.

But he does live in the land of cheap copper :D.

Very well done with this gun Spike. It looks great.

whoaou , thanks for all the comments !
nivekatoz wrote:Thats a really nice gun. I really like everything on it like all the metal parts but I would have to agree. The bottle chamber has to be replaced. Then I think it would be one of the better cannos on here.. By the way. Where did you get that part where the scope is mounted, and the part for the bipod. Did you machine it yourself or did you buy it somewhere. I really like it. :salute:

hi nivekatoz, for the piece of wood, I machined it myself , it is into two left , hardest was to drill a hole in 20 mm, 15 centimeter length ! , after i just used a file and a small drilling machine.

for you seudo411 I'm going to make an English video where I would explain really all the stages for the construction of the system (it must be 6th and I found technique simpler to do something of more powerful )
because in France we don't have industrial qev

thanks you all , and sorry for the bad language

Hey spike, really great work on that one ;) i hope you are proud of yourself! I'm french too, but hey i'd like to know, where do you buy PN18 PVC? at Leroy Merlin i can only find small section of PN15 and in very small diameters. I use Galvanized steel, hard and strong but kinda heavy and seals are pain the a$$...

Ah.

Just realised I'd missed out on the bolt action bit by not watching the video.

Very nice action on it. I actually thought it was metal from the sound.
