I'm wondering if they could be remanufactured to use a nylon or HDPE piston. Maybe with some custom pistons, speed as well as the dwell time could be adjustable in addition to larger ports.
It may be fun to build one that is see through in a block of polycarbonate. Plexiglass would be too brittle for the pounding.
It's time to polish the drill press skills.

Subsonicspud, I got mine from the same place. I went into the shop though. It's only 10 min from my place. I was so annoyed when I couldn't get full auto when we use the same QEV. I'm thinking maybe my pilot is just too big and the pressure drop isn't enough to actuate the piston as a result.
Where on earth did you get your fitting that the pop-off and schrader are connected to?!
It looks great!
(EDIT after 15 min of deep thought)
AHUH! Silly me. I just worked out why I didn't get fully auto. I just had my gun plugged straight into the compressor so it had direct flow and therefore way too much flow. When the pop off goes off, the constant air just keeps it out. I just need a 1/4'' ball valve behind the male compressor fitting to vary the flow into the gun.
Damn I'm good
