Sprinkler valves work wonders. They are very quick, and with a blow gun, so much more easily handled.

Thank you, Mr Crowley. I've researched piston valves before and they've just looked really obnoxious to build, I just never really noticed how simply they actually work.
I just had trouble concieving how gun freak's design worked (seeing as it's not a COMPLETE design, I didn't quit understand how it was pressurized when a valve for the main chamber wasn't labeled, I figured I was missing something about piston valves).
I've done a bolt-action sprinkler valve cannon before, so it's not that I'm lazy. But hey, thanks for helping me out anyways

But anywho, gun freak, are you wanting a sprinkler valve for this cannon?
And, you don't really want them for small scale (handheld) cannons because they are pretty expensive (around 30).

??? Why wouldn't you just use a blowgun like in your design? I'm not any sort of expert so could you draw something up on how you'd use a modded sprinkler valve? I'm not quite understand your application of it in this scenario.

Blowgun doesn't have enough flow. To use a modden sprinkler valve you just attach it to the back of the cannon...

i found a sprinkler valve at home depot for 12 bucks-
Lawn Genie RJ 3/4 In. In-Line Valve (Female Thread)
and another one for 14-
Lawn Genie 1 In. In-Line Valve without Flow Control (Female Thread)
whats the difference, and what one should i buy?

One is 1" and the other 3/4", although the 1" is more powerful the 3/4" will do on this cannon. But suit yourself really.

is it worth the extra 2 dollars? one says flow control and one doesnt. does that matter?
and all i need to mod it is a 1/4" close nipple right

and btw its not for this cannon, its for my over and under (i think thats what its called) remember the thread called "first pneaumatic piston valve" or something
