So you can fill the chamber through the pilot valve on the qev?
hmm, how does a qev work?
Piston? diaphram?

Is that a cast iron sprinkler valve?
will the elbow bend from the chamber to the valve decrease the F.P.S?
IS that a TUBA I spy in the background there?
in the picture with the barrel extension?

Pretty much all they have been talking about is the valve :x . Its called a QEV (quick exast valve). Did you even read the thread???

I like your ultra crap acoustic! Shoot it! How much did it cost ya?

It cost me $100 from a family friend and it isn't crap. I acually have it right next to me now at work too.

And that "tuba" is actually a baritone. That's one of my brother's instruments.

A quick count of the instruments in my room: over 20. It's uncommon to not have some instrument in sight in any part of my room. The same goes for spud guns usually too.

three comments:

1) make the chamber longer, at least half the length of the barrel, so that your pressure remains decent for the entire shot. In your case the pressure will be at least halved by the time the projectile reaches the end.
2) use some copper piping (or what ever type) to pull the blow gun to a more ergonomic position for firing.
3) give me that insanely aswome valve cuz i want it soooooooooooooo bad! you only paid $30 for it? they must have been crazy!

other than that, great cannon

Hey hey now, sure, we all know I know my stuff, but that doesn't mean this guy doesn't know a few things.

Lentamentalisk has a point that it will increase my power, but the reason I used such a small chamber in this old gun is so I could have bang for the buck. This chamber size is the most efficient use of air with the barrel sizes I commonly use.

Actually, the blowgun where it is is pretty comfortable. Sure, I could easily run compression tubing (and I have on this gun) to make it more comfortable when aiming certain ways. But in this configuration, it's great for hip-firing.

Yeah, the valve I got for this was pretty cheap, along with a second one I picked up soon after. Right now, I don't use them much. I've found a much better substitute: my Mauler Valves. (If you didn't know, I own and operate LaunchPotatoes.com)

Yeah, kinda dead topic, but at least I do get the notification for replies in here, so it's not a total waste of Kyle's bandwidth.

Good job I like that metal valve. Any damage pics, and what psi do you run it at?
