Any size works, if your piston is pretty solid, get the most flexible type of rubber you can, so it has a better chance of getting into all the little scratches and gouges on the piston seat. There will be scratches and gouges on the piston seat, unless you glue a coupler onto the sealing face, so no one say there won't be.

I used 3mm for the barrel side and 2mm trigger side unfortunately there was an accident i ended up with a broken finger and a marble in my right hand dont mess with compressed air man take every safety procedure you can.

i was lifting it out of the vice and had my hand near the end checking if it was leaking then as i turned to walk out the door the blowgun trigger got hooked and bang the marble was lodged in my hand i got my dad to squeeze it out, it popped out about 6 inches in the air and he cought it lol anyways im putting a safety on it a pin or switch hopefully no1 else will have this happen to them.
