dart rifle idea, do me a favor and look at the last post
Well I'm not thinking coaxial, I'm thinking qev, also I just don't think that with my current set up it would not supply enough power to launch a dart at the speed I wanted( like 600 fps) but with a pellet, I can go with a much higher velocity...... Also this is going for a new turn, I want to fit it into a smaller case, the actual rifle may be like 3-4 feet but it will fit in a 2 foot case.... Of course making this up to actual demetions may be a bit different, also does anyone know where to get like a yard long .22 caliber barrel? This is possibly going to be a possibility now because I have a friend , responses are wanted, it is a relitivel change in idea I'm still thinking of building one as a .50 cal dart gun, just have to figure out the rounds.... Also removing cartridge idea for now to simplify the process, though I am examining a 22 bolt, maby I'll get an idea about cartridge loading from a real gun later.

A pip with a handle is better than nothing, yours looks like a bunch of posts I didn't even bother to read (sorry)

i have a friend with some machining tools, therefor i can make some parts i couldn't before. so im thinking of a screw on barrel in .22 and removing the cartridge idea for now, so it will be a bolt action with an airsoft like mag. what would make a good chamber for pressures that reach higher than 1000 psi.

Do you even realize just HOW vague that question is?dart guy wrote: what would make a good chamber for pressures that reach higher than 1000 psi.
To be equally vague, I will suggest "metal" in suitable thickness to handle applied stresses.
There are many ways to design a pressure reservoir....many wrong...and few right. "Right" to me means a MWP with a reasonable and KNOWN safety factor (I use a minimum of 3xMWP at yield)...but that's JMO and ymmv depending upon whom you ask.
Give some dimensions for the reservoir and define a maximum working pressure...then you might get a usable answer.
It's a "garbage in....garbage out" kind of thing...and you supplied garbage.
