Makes no difference anyway, it's a design template, dimensions are up to the user to do as they see fit.
I'd probably go for an over-under instead. That way I could perhaps reduce the overall length of it.
The problem with longer barrels is that PVC pipe is quite flexible & bends quite easily. So, there is a limit to how long barrels can get.
I'll submit a report on projectile penetration in ballistic gel when my people have the time to rig up a ballistic gel setup. As it is, the Singapore school system is like most East Asian countries: we do a lot more work than Western countries. Hence the delay in coming up with the upgrade.

Sorry for kicking up a topic 2months ago, but i really have to say this. im also from Sinapore, and i agree with john bunsenburner about not restricting those students.
They might seem like a major threat of some sort of terrible mischief but if you spend time to even expose them more to spudguns if they are really that interested and really get them involved in spudgun discussions, they would be more of a friend than a foe right?
Not many people are aware of spudguns here, let alone its construction, how it works and so on, but like what you said, isn't exposure good? So instead of telling them what to do, explain how it works and discuss and help them with their ideas.
There may still be a few singaporean spudders out there whom you dont know of cause this isnt common at all.(extremely rare) Hardly or never hear discussion of spudguns going on, no?
Good luck in exposing your science club to these pneumatic spudgunners, and if you are really aiming to go high level, you should really let them learn how this works and let those curious minds think for themselves.
Sorry for such a long comment, and im 14 this year by the way. If something doesn't work, you could ask the more experienced on this forum, isn't that what this is for? Everyone needs help in some sense, just like your students.

Wow, happy to find agreeance in a topic that i barely remember. Nothing to add, though the legality would surely be intresting. I was talking about spud guns with a friend, who had made spray and pray, and used propane, telling me it was AWSOME(AWSOEM; AWESOME AAWSOM ASSUM and the rest are also alright, rag keep counting) I told him i had a little knowlafe about the topic, and that I'll show himt he real deal one day. Mentioned hubb's mouse shot, hehehe.
