The typical 5 pound FE tank will have .75-16UNF-2B threads.
So if you want to use the the existing threads you will need an adapter.
Now using an unmodified FE tank on a 1-1/2 valve is ridiculous because the ID of the pipe of the adapter will be about .5 or less inches.
You may as well use a 1/2 or 3/4 QEV not your 1-1/2!
Now do you understand why I welded a 1-1/2 coupler.

Dewey helped me in the designing of my cannon and he was a big help. I have fired my cannon well over a thousand times and no problems as of yet.

Huge improvement from the last one. Must be rather loud! Its a dust collector valve and or a pulse valve, not a solenoid. Pay no attention to what e bay lists them as. What color are you going to paint it???
