Sorry for not responding. You are right, I am VERY busy with the final development and business matters. There is also the issue of my involvement with the design and implementation of a video system for an arena tour that has come out of the blue.

It is pneumatically driven and never needs to be wound or use up batteries as you guessed 3tables.

It is currently being streamlined for production and awaiting production materials. My goal is to have the first run completed by June.

Wow, it took me a while to notice this. This is nice, but in order to fully respect it, I'd need to see some designs on its internals or at least an explanation of what it does better than its rivals.

I don't see this in direct competition with BCArms, so I say you are fine to advertise by means of this topic only. Putting it in your signature is not allowed and hijacking other threads (changing the subject to your own topic) is against forum etiquette.

Please get some more info about this soon. I'd love to see your work up closer to see the full genius of it.

I will respect the etiquette. Once it is on the market I will be going into the details a lot more. Some of the basics in regards to any competition is that it never needs to be wound since it is pneumatically driven and it has a completely customizable barrel and volume chamber design. It also has a fast reloading mechanism and can be converted between a 40mm and 2" bore. It is aluminum and steel construction and incorporates a safety feature that I am not at liberty to discuss for a couple more weeks, but I assure you it is way cool and has already proven itself during testing. It will not be inexpensive, but I am more interested in making lots of them at lower revenue as opposed to only selling a few at a high dollar amount. It is currently being streamlined for full production and is very close.

Wow. I definitely just popped one. I've been looking for one of these for
YEARS. I had plans for one (it wasn't pneumatically driven, it was spring)but no access to any machining. I'll tell ya one thing, I'm definitely interested in buying one. Good luck with production and kudos for creating this. Bank account here I come...

P.S. Thanks for trying to keep the price down and not just making 5 of them and charging and arm and a leg for one.

Looks like the first of May for the start of production. Still trying to get 40mm stock that is not pre-anodized to keep the finish consistent. Some great things are in the works. I will be sending a few out for the fields to approve soon as well.

I will have a final price soon. This week I will have the official posting showing more features of the gun now that I will have obtained patent protection for them. I will start taking pre-orders from my web site as soon as this happens. I have been told Monday or Tuesday. The pre-order list will run for two weeks. At that point I will determine the production run size. The idea is to have them shipping before June 1st. The cost for the first few may or may not reflect the price of any future production runs. The pricing may increase or be reduced depending on many factors. Either way, the three versions should be approximately $500, $750 and $1000. (breech loader, semi auto in radial or belt fed configuration or a semi with multi-range barrel system. I may only be producing the $750 model to begin with since it is the lesser priced of the semis. This launcher can be converted back and forth between a semi and a breech loader, even using different sized bores and ammo length in the near future.

Keep in mind that the shells for this launcher are 1/3 the cost of the Rap4 style rounds and pack 50 .50 caliber paintballs or 20 .68 caliber paintballs. That, and such things as the Scepter 40mm grenades and the new POW rockets. It is also being used for other uses besides paintball that demand a very durable, efficient product. You will be pleased I hope.

I'm about to take the leap from mad scientist to commercial mad scientist. I will try not to sound like a walking ad.... I will hope that word of mouth will get people interested once a few get out there.

Good to see you've been persistant with this and have been putting so much effort in.

How long did it take you to design/build the first model?

It must be a different market of people separating those who quibble about the price of materials for making their own guns and those who can afford to buy a paintball gun running up to a $700-$1000.
That amount of money is usually reserved for a first car ;)

There are many paintguns on the market that go for substantially more. This launcher is also designed to be used for other purposes as well. In some markets I could easily charge $2500 for it's utility, but I want to provide a less expensive alternative for people who want a launcher that is actually effective and not just one that looks cool and goes boom. This launcher is purring in paintball mode. Try launching a 9 oz gas cylinder out of one and you will see what I mean. Yes, it's design is overkill for paintball, but it is a very adaptable launcher that can be upgraded from the base model all the way up to the top of the line version.

$750 is a bit spendy but I still would like to get at least one for paintball. Overkill is just enough in my opinion.
