Hi,

I am working on a cannon that needs a regulator from, say, 10 bar to 1-2 bar. It will recharge a firing chamber from a tank, and it should be fast and reasonably precise (but not more than just reasonably, +/- 1/3 bar or so....)

I have come up with the attached design. Has anybody tried something like it, and could not get it to work, pse tell me about it..

PS: I know that its output pressure will vary somewhat with the HP (high pressure = tank pressure). Maybe there is an idea for a not too complicated regulator, where the pressure sense / spring part does not directly control the valve, but rather controls a ram (servo) that controls the valve? Or, does someone have an idea for a zero-force valve that still can close to a complete seal?

Regards
Soren
