I recently found this video of a nifty cannon off of You-Tube:

However, I cannot seem to figure out how he is able to have the section of pipe coming off the back as a shoulder support. I figured he was using a U-bend sprinkler valve, but the support is coming off of where the solenoid would have been held. Any incite on how he does this would be highly appreciated.
Also, as a side note, where might I find an electronic pistol grip/trigger (like in the video) locally, or would I have to order it offline?

To me it looks like he has made a custom block to attach everything to, it appears that this same block may act as a union.

Looks like a modified BECC to me.

You know basically how it's working so it's nothing new.

My vote goes for a custom solenoid cover made from pipe and endcap to protect it and make it a bit neater.

That might make sense, however I am not sure that a solinoid's threads will be long enough to go through an endcap and then into the vaklve. When I get the chance I will look into it at a local hardware store. Otherwise the system is really simple. It's all 1 1/2" pipe with a valve that is probably 1" (it looks more like 3/4" to me).

it is 2 inch pipe nerfs will not load that easy into 1 1/2.

It looks almost like he just slipped pipe over the back of the valve. I will investigate this on friday (can't do it tomorrow)

How did he seal the tee off from the chamber?

As you can see the barrel slides through a tee which is connected to another tee.

And where do you get nerf rockets? How much are they for the 2" ones?

the chamber is simply slid through the tee same as the barrel, as for making the tee slide, you use a hole saw that is the same diameter as the o.d. of the pipe, and run it through the tee to remove the ridge that stops the pipe from going through, or you can use a dremel and sand paper. it is just like removing the ridge in a bushing so that pipe will slide all the way through it.
nerf rockets are most ly found in toy stores and online, prices can vary from 2 to 7 dollars each. they can be found in two sizes the 2" and 3", the 2" ones are the only ones we are allowed to use in paintball.
oh about the pistol grip, it is a paintball gun grip that the trigger has been removed and a momentary switch installed in it's place, you might find one at a local paintball shop or field and you can also order them online pretty cheap.

Yeah I get that part, but he would've had to block the top of the bottom tee off, the port of the bottom tee that connects to the port of the top tee would have to be sealed off somehow.

i took a closer look at the tee you are talking about, and found out he only used one tee.if you look closely at the pic it is very obvios what he did.

You saying he sanded down the bottom port of the tee on the barrel so it would fit over the chamber like a support?

He did a good job if that's what he did.

that is exactly what he did, if you enlarge the pic you can see it, and i agree he did do a very nice job.

If I made one similar, I would've cut the tops of two tee's down so only an inch was left, block one of the tee's off so no air would travel through and join them with pipe. You'd get the same effect really.

doing it the way you described would also be alot stronger and less chance of any movement.

Yeah I actually just might build my version of this launcher if I come across some 50mm pipe in NZ.
