why would you want to make a 1/2 inch piston? performance wouldnt be so well you should do at least 1.5 inch or higher for really good performance

you now those crayola markers they fit perfectly in 1/2in sch40 Im sure you could convert that into a piston somehow.

There are alot of high power guns with 1/2 or 3/4 inch pistons.

i used a 1" plug and put tape on it till it fit. I JB welded the sealing face on.
but i used 1/2" for the barrel.

your title does not match your question, did you forget to edit your question aswell after elitesniper posted his response?
As for the piston, you could melt the hot glue in a pan or similar then pour into your coupling. As done in the BCvids tutorial on a piston valve.

I used a sanded down dowel. Takes a little effort, but annoying.

I guess you could be creative and glue 5 milk jug caps together because they fit nice and snug in 1.5in pipe
I just relized that that would be a very effective piston even more effective than a proper hot glue or epoxy one because of the light weight.

Another noobie question from me. I understand fully how a piston works,(all 3 kinds) but how tight does the hit is the tee for a coax, or a barel sealing?

On my very first piston valve (1.5"), I sanded down a 1" coupler (I think it was 1") and used some washers, a bolt, and a bike tube squeezed onto the face.
