I did some quick research but I couldn't find anything about a pneumatic with a double barrel. did anyone make one already?
it would do more damage in one shot and I wonder if the projectiles will stay same distance from eachother
has suggestions or ideas ?

I don't see much advantage to having two barrels as opposed to one large one. Unless you are shooting a specialized ammo that requires two barrels.

The barrels would have to be very well aligned for the two projectiles to stay at the same distance. The more practical way to shoot multiple projectile would be to have a slug that splits into multiple projectiles or a shotgun type shell.

Probably not...there would be too many variables that would cause the objects to stray form each other. In a vacuum however...

It would be cool if you shot a ball and chain or some thing similar out of two barrels.

yeah I think too it so diffecult to have the projectiles next to eachother but shooting 2 balls connected with a chain would be cool
I remember I made that but I trew it and it went around legs of people and they fell
or you can make about 10 barrels and a very big chamber :D

Most of the times one of the projectiles will accelarate faster, due to imperfection of everything.
When the first projectile exits the barrel, all pressure will be blasted out and the second projectile (wich is still somewhere in its barrel) will lose pressure and thus lose power.
This will occur mostly on long barrels.

So when using multiple barrels on the same chamber, I recommend short ones and a HUGE C:B ratio.

You could just try making one of these

Perfect for when you need to take down the rigging of enemy sailing ships...

yeah, it won't be accurate but what the hell. Make a double barreled breakbarrel shotgun like thing. It will be pretty cool.

Way back in the 1800s, the American military tried to make a double barreled cannon that fired a ball from each barrel, connected by a chain, in the hopes of mowing down infantry with the chain. They could never get the timing perfect enough, and there were a few deaths related to one ball leaving the barrel too soon, then whipping around, snapping the chain, and hitting the artillery crew.

So if you try that, make sure you're nowhere near the thing when it goes off. The fact that both barrels are powered by the same chamber and valve will help, but as others have stated, differences in mass, positioning, fit, and friction in the projectiles will mean that you probably can't make this accurate enough to work incredibly well. You can certainly try though

Stupid black powder... burns too inconsistent.

It would be neat. I dont think that the innaccuracy is of any real significance. Of course, one would go faster and they would tumble through the air. But i mean, would you really notice if the projectiles are at a high velocity.

I was going to make a double barreled break action marble rifle for a while. to connect the barrels i would suggest using one of these.http://www.flexpvc.com/cart/agora.cgi?c ... nifoldType
I was also going to Put hinges on the barrels and have them snap into couplers so you could quickly load ammo.

You can do that with a single barrel though.

I don't think having two barrels that fire at once is worthwhile, you're better of using a singe large barrel. If you could get them to fire separately however, it's good to have a follow-up shot ;)

I was going to make a double barreled breach shotgun, but never got around to it... Then again, I don't get around to a lot of stuff because of my school work.

A while ago i had a design for a double barrel chamber sealing piston cannon based off of the Halo 2 rocket launcher. I'll do some research and see if i can find it.

Bahh... Beat me to the idea! I was just gonna post the Halo Rocket Launcher idea claiming that it is feasable and could be sold at a 2 to 3x profit. Maybe I'll look into that after I complete my other projects.
