mcmaster carr qev question

I tried searching to see where I can find a QEV and I keep finding that mcmaster carr has them, but when I go to the site, I have no idea which one is the one I should be using for my spud cannon. All the cannon's I've seen have a brass T QEV but the website doesn't have anything like that, or at least I didn't see one... can anyone help me out? Sorry if I broke a posting rule, I'm new here.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, this is to add onto my copper air cannon... the air chamber is 1 1/4 inch, but there is a 1 inch stretch to the ball valve I have on it right now, so a 1 inch QEV is what I'm looking for.

metal = QEV
plastic = probably a sprinkler valve that is better for you use.

yeah, I got that, but I don't see any QEV's that I've seen on the mcmaster site

the right angle one? how does that one work? all the ones I've seen are T shaped...

I'm not sure I follow the question. It works like a QEV.

well, I guess the first qev I saw, and some other ones, are T shaped, like a tee for fitting three pipes...there's the outlet that goes to the barrel, the one pointing down goes to the air chamber, and the back one goes to where you pump the air in...you release a bit from the back, and it all goes out through the outlet to the barrel....the one on mcmaster is just a right angle with an inlet and an outlet, so does it work pretty much the same?

what you have seen is a barrel sealing piston valve

'Tis all semantics. What you describe is what is refered to as a 90 degree design in the industry. Nobody really worries about where the pilot is. All they care about is the inlet and outlet are.... and in this case (your's and mine), they're separated by 90 degrees.

The one that you want is the type "F" one, it is a tee shaped one like you have seen, you just can't see the other port in Mcmaster's picture.

125 is the max psi for that? any way I can get a higher rated one?

another questions I have is can I pick one of these up at a hardware store? or are they a specialty item that has to be ordered?
