This is just a throw-together gun i made to make use of the new barrels i recently made. It uses a 1 inch irritol sprinkler valve, standard stuff.

The sleeved golfball barrel was a pain to make, i cut very small slivers out of a piece of 2'' pipe with a table saw, until it just fit into the other 2'' pipe. once i got it in there about five inches, i just pounded the crap out of that thing until it was in there all the way. Unfortunately, i was left with a small gap in the inner barrel. I filled it with low viscosity epoxy and it turned out great!

The paintball barrel was much easier, i just drilled out a hole big enough for the paintball to fit through, and i used a bored out coupler for the bolt.

The golfball barrel is my new favorite barrel, it puts golfballs out of sight.

  I had to laugh when I read this. I think everyone who has built one of those slit 2" sleeved golfball barrels has had the same experience...squeezing and pounding the crap out of it to get it in there. I've been there and done one as well... 8) and mine was almost 4' long...

However, you should consider one of those nice sdr 21 1.5" sleeved in sched 80 barrels. They are much nicer than the slit 2" ones.

Nicely done, though that gap on the GB barrel is the bad point.
You can get a great GB barrel from the spudfiler's shop.

Thanks. I have actually already ordered a golfball barrel from BCarms.
But i got tired of waiting for it to ship so i made this just to see how golfballs are as a projectile.

Needless to say i was quite impressed.

Golfballs are designed to fly far and hit hard...about as good as it gets for a round object. I think they are one of the best overall off-the-shelf projectiles. They are very impressive to shoot. Just be careful with ricochet.

yeah, i've been having trouble finding a decent way to shoot them without losing them. I have quite a few open fields around here to shoot. But i have no way to find the golfballs afterwards.

When i get more time i'll make a suitable backstop for shooting off these badboys.
