I was wondering if anyone has made a fireball launcher and perhaps has some insight on what, and what not to do?

Well, I haven't made one, but a simple metal ball valve pneumatic with some flammable liquid in the barrel should work well. The only concern I have is that if any fuel gets in the chamber, and it is pressurized with air, you could potentialy have an accidental hybrid. Not very likely, but still a situation you want to avoid. It would probably be a better idea to purge the 'air' chamber of air, using some other gas. Nitrogen, Co2, or propane would work well. Then seal off the chamber and pressurize with your gas of choice. Although propane is flammable, so long as no air is left in the chamber, it cannot burn.
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

I don't know if this fits your definition of a fireball launcher, but check out what one of my brother's schoolmates did:

This stuff from about 3 or 4 years ago.

Hope it answers your question.
Welcome to Singapore.

The laws are stricter concerning spudguns than anywhere in the West.

Even the Aussies for all they complain have it good compared to us.

sorry, but this is against the rules-

3. Discussion of solid propellants, explosive devices or incendiary projectiles fired specifically from a spud cannon is prohibited, and may result in a permanent banning of your account
