well i am finaly going to do another prorject, i've decided to build an m-79 to launch nerf rockets at scenario games.

going with all copper on this one, it will be an actual break action with the pressure chamber hidden inside the stock. got a 3/4 Q.E.V. that i'm modding to be pressurized from the chamber side. want to make this as real looking as possible.

indeed i shall as look forward to this as well.

how are you going to power this i would assume a paintball tank with a remote coil.
the remote would also function as an expansion chamber which would be a bonus
Are there any de milled M79s like there are laws as it would make the job a basic drop in with minimal work and maximum quality {looks wise}

you can buy them if you are police or military have the proper license and enough money (i'm still waiting to win the lottery).
besides a real one is only 40mm witch is a bit tight on 2 inch nerfs, my barrel will be 2 inch.
right now i am undecided wether i want to use a remote or put a 9oz co2 tank in the stock with the pressure chamber.

In a word, sweet.

I don't know about a copper barrel, big copper like that is expensive, and aluminum would look better, and be less damageable,

But apart from that, it sounds like a fantastic project, Have you made any headway yet? or is this still in a design phase?

i've always likes the M-79... its so much more manly than the M203....

i think the easiest option would be to buy and airsoft one for the stock etc. and build onto/into that.... but where's the fun in buying one? :wink:

Grumpy, I think it would look more "authentic" with a tank, either 9oz or a 3.5oz or something, rather than a remote.

And, for the sake of it, I just have to quote...

You've got that right, its the kind of gun you run into the jungle, one in each hand, and balst the enemy base single handed with...

-Although I love the M79, I definitely think it would be easier to model an airgun after EX-41, the M79's pump action big brother
