Well..I just tested the basic setup and at 50 psi it gave off quite a bang.
So, eventhough it´s not finished, I felt I had to share this ugly bugger with you guys.

I need to clean up the look, since some parts are taken right off of `Overkill`.
Need to sand it, paint it, fix the blowgun on a mounting point.
I need to get the 6 foot, 2 inch I.D. barrel threaded. ( hopefully this saturday)
And it needs a front grip.

Anyway.It's got twice the chambervolume of Overkill, and has about 4x the flow.You can see it has two chambers stacked on top of one another.I did this to both fill in the space between the " normal" chamber and barrel, and to get more volume without the length..

I recon it could be used up to about 500 psi.
The piston is as light as it could be, has lathed tapered rubber discs, and a cone shape ( lathed) in front of the sealing face, wich guides the air toward the barrel, without much turbulance.

I know it doesn't look like much now, but technically, it's a pretty darn good cannon.
My biggest and most powerful yet.
Oh and yeah.It's heavy, but not impossible...

Can you post some pictures of the piston it would help visualize the turbulent flow you speak of.

That would require me to disassemble the valve..

When I do that ,I will take a picture.
It's not that revolutionary.Just an aluminium cone.
Big diameter at the sealing face, smaller towards the barrel.


Oh, the piston runs so smooth, I could move it forward by blowing and retract it by sucking on the pilot side....
No other way to put it, but yeah, that sounds weird..

Wow ! Thats smooth. My mauler valve can't even do. Don't dissasemble it for me though its not worth it.

That valve would go so well with my steel chamber of my cannon.
What is your pilot valve i cannot see in the pictures.

I love galvanized guns, although I always think they would be far to heavy to carry around for any conventional use, maybe make a mount for it, with a swivel... mmmm swivel mounts, Sexual.

THe pilot valve is a 1/2" modded solenoid valve.

for confetti with that pressure you might as well just screw in a 6" chamber or more, as you will have more power than you know what to do with, and don't want people to lose an eye to little scraps of tissue paper. That is not dieing like a man...

Nice work with it! Wish I had the money to use galv. fittings on demand for a large scale gun like this.. Looks like I'll have to live till I've got enough cash for a mill.

Waitaminute.

You can't afford standard malleable or galvanised iron fittings so you're going for a mill instead... the low end of which is around £600 minus cutting tools and accessories.

£100 or the equivalent will get everything you need for your own steel 2" piston cannon.

I spent well over 100 euro´s on the main valve alone.Galvanised 3 inch Tee, 5 reducers, 2 pipenipples and piston material.

As it´s very hard to come by here, they charge you the world for that stuff.

I wanted to use 3" for the reservoir, but the Tee was the only thing they had in stock.

No endcaps, no " bell" reducers. My brother has some 4" aluminium chambers, with welded endcap and 2" connection lying around, but I doubt he'll part with them easily.
They are 1.30 meters long, so...that would be nice.In fact, he has a perfect aluminium barrel of the same dimentions.Basically built like the above mentioned chambers, but without the endcap.
He has already tested them up to 25 BAR, but they are rated for higher.

They are ment for our invention( prototype leftover), wich has cost us 6000 euro's so far, and is currently stuck due to money issues.
Oh.The invention will NOT be discussed, so save your breath..

No need to rent, using "shrapnel" shells you could rain down confetti in a radius of 50km (or more). Use a webshop and an automatic firing system and people could order instant confetti drop.

Oh and did you fix the tumbling problem yet?

It´s quite heavy, but I´m not going to try and weigh it.My scale is made off glass and I weigh 110 kg atm, keeping it in my hands, to substract my own weight will result in a broken scale as well

The tumbling piston I showed you is fixed.The rod the piston is assembled with extends out the back.I used it to centre the piston into the pilot hole, and drilled 3 new pilot holes around the centre one.
Get that?

The barrel is treaded and attached, and I've shot it for the first time, at 5 bar.
Guess what? Red Bull can beats furniture.....

At 5 bar ( 70-80 psi) the damage is nothing we haven't seen before, so I didn't take pics.But still, it functions. My wife described the blast as a large firecracker going off inside a sea cargo container.She was on the opposite side of the house when I fired it.

I'll post some pictures later. It still needs a bracket to support the blowgun.But it's functional, and that's what counts.
Now I need a place to do some 400 psi tests...

hohoho....oh man i'm so f***** impatient!!! please hurry!! 400 psi in that thing that is just not right! this is going to be some powerful cannon....
