Recently, I've been noticing the number of "please help me" topics for making piston valves. Such common questions such as "what should i make the piston out of ?" and etc. could easily be explained by these two videos i found on you tube. one explains how to make the valve with easily accessible items, and the other video explains how it works.

So i thought,"I can help the other people who have so many questions about piston valves". In fact, this tutorial inspired me to build one just like it. So here are the two videos posted by this guy who's username is MrRedRooster.

Don't worry, lots of people don't know - it's not hard however.

I saw this video on the internet a few days after finishing an almost identical piston valve.
it's easy and works perfectly :D

I used an other sealing pipe (might be smaller so a little less flow but for me the best I could get)

Wow! Nice find!

I've been wanting to make a piston valve cannon but I was too noob to find any information on it o.O

Thanks dude!... After I finish my ball valve cannon I'll work on this :D
It's Nerf or Nothing.

Don't start crying when I play this as my hobby, Paintball, Airsoft and Nerf are equally good hobbies, except you can play Nerf in public. Good day! Hmph!

Glad I was able to help. It took quite a while for me to understand the principle (by just watching schemes) of a piston valve and to find an easy way to take it into practice.

The reason why I never posted it on spudfiles is because I think it's still pretty basic stuff.

Are you saying you things are still basic in which case i have to say you are wrong, you valve is pretty great, or that our stuff is basic in which i recomend you look at the plasma gun(it has naother name) by larda or the HEAL by ragnarok or some of the guns on the front page. Anywho, great to have yo here, i hope we get to see some of your guns! :D

Well, like John Bunsenburner, I have to say, if you think your stuff is basic, I disagree, it's well done.
We don't have a "cannon must be absolutely epic to be posted" rule - and anyway, this is good.

On an unrelated note I have just noticed the number of Spudbux I have. Make the relevant joke at your own expense.

What I meant with basic stuff is that there are so many great projects on this side that I will make a post on a gun that is really showable.

Besides my gun is progressing all the time. Redesigning, adding parts, removing parts.... (damn I love threaded parts).

At the moment it's put into pieces, maybe I have some spare time at the weekend.

I'm surprised I'm the first one to notice this, but MRR, are you trying to cut your fingers off with that knife?

Snap-off utility blades are nice and all, but you need to use them one at a time, less they decide to do what they're designed to do (snap off) and cut the living fire out of your hand.

@markfh11q
The blades that I'm using are extra thick handcraft blades. I use them alot at work, cutting all different kind of materials. Even with pliers they are hard to snap off (they never break at the breaking point).
