I made this cannon a few weeks back. Its a simpley QEV cannon with a safty (my dad Insisted on one). I take it to about 125-130PSI with my Bike pump. Shoots AA batterys hella far and shoots paper darts and marbles clear out of sight.

The gun
The QEV and pilot
safty on
safty off, reeady to fire
Damage to my old Oak floor boards

you should drill a hole into the side of that saftey ball valve with the valve closed. then you can use it like a bolt

LOL every guy HAS to has to have Simpsons bedsheet =D
Erm, the valve was $25 from eBay. Just search "quick exhaust valve".
The recoil is very minimal with meid weight progectied (batteries, clay .. ) but it kicks a bit with saboted water, enough to hurt my wrist whick I used to brace it.

HSISG, thats a good idea, I may do that, and add a hopper, but meh, I'm lazy

get solid steel dowel that fits your barrel, and cut it into pieces. great for puncturing metal. It works awsome with 1 1/2 inch in a 2 inch barrel. there is no reason it wouldent work with yours

enough with the ice slugs and solid steel dowels already!!
Muhahaha

Gun looks nice and a little safety is always appreciated.I'm a dad myself so I like the way he thinks.Remember...you're allowed to build the gun anyway so...
I think it even adds to the coolness of the gun!!

I'll be making some ice slugs ;later today if I can be bothered.

I'm glad my dad convinced me to have a safty there, it's saved my fence a few times from a leaky pilot. Teflon to the reque!

I can't realy have sloid steel dowels as I shoot in my back yard, and behind that, is a car park. I PNLY shoot when there are no cars and/or people in the vicinity, and them steel dowels would fly half wya across my town (well, nearly). So ice it is!

Yea, and when the ice melts theres no eveadence a shot was fired, just a freaky little puddle of water that wont last long, you just have to get them in the gun and shot fast! Before they melt, (dhaaaaaaaaa).

yeah, hypotheticly(on csi) someone used a bullet made of frozen human flesh to kill someone, no evidence, and hypotheticly, if someone wanted to commit murder with a spudgun, a sharpened dry ice slug would be the way to go, cause it would hypotheticly melt. hypotheticly....
in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08

I shot some wet clay not long ago. Dam funny. Makes a big spalt on my target. I may fill the (wet) clay slug with nails to see if the nails get embedded in the boards, and the clay just spalts
